Italian Converter and Simone Micheli for the FuoriSalone

The Milan Design Week saw Italian Converter as the main partner of the fabrics present inside the Hybrid Restaurant designed by the architect Simone Micheli. Experimental materials with surprising results, the result of the contamination between fashion, design and creativity.

The space designed for this edition of the FuoriSalone started from some constant prerogatives in my work. The search for out-of-the-box solutions, experimentation and the creation of real synesthetic paths. Together with Italian Converter, in a collaborative effort, we managed to create something different. Above all thanks to their ability to propose bespoke but never predictable solutions. Simone Micheli, Architect A winning synergy between two Italian design excellences, born from the meeting between Costantino Karazissis Dolzanelli, founder and CEO of Italian Converter, and Simone Micheli. It allowed the architect to come into direct contact with the universe; know-how; the attention to innovation of the Vigevano company. From the continuous and constant comparison between the two realities, the idea of ​​working together for the selection of fabrics for the furnishing components of Hybrid Restaurant developed. Created from in-depth research into new materials and the development of new transformation technologies. The Italian Converter fabrics, which represent the perfect expression of the contamination between the worlds of fashion, design and creativity, fit perfectly into the dynamic environments, both indoors and outdoors, designed by Simone Micheli Architectural Hero. It is the first time that, as a company, we have presented ourselves to the public of Milan Design Week with a structured project, which saw us involved in all phases of development. Our passion for fabrics always leads us to be extremely curious about the future and we are sure that the work done so far together with Simone Micheli's studio represents only the beginning of a broader collaboration. Among the products presented, the Zona Living sofa stands out; the Nitesco International hourglass pouf in Veg Joda fabric. The latter is part of the Veg Hair collection, in which animal coats are taken as inspiration and reproduced through synthetic furs of different patterns; the Wellness Pool wood in Elefangy fabric, soft and wrinkled to the touch and also very resistant, the Concept by Braida seats in Monoriccio fabric, a cotton sponge with a soft and fine pile, whose smooth feel gives absolute comfort, and finally, flower to the the highlight of the collaboration is the Nitesco International hourglass pouf in Tempest thermal fabric. An imitation leather with thermovivancing capabilities, capable of absorbing the heat released by the person and changing color and then returning to its initial state.
